The area of Panormos, is a natural magnet for
tourism. At a distance of twelve kilometres from the island capital,
Skopelos, Panormos is regarded as having arguably one of the best
beaches on the island. It is a sizable beach that is followed by a laced
chain of other smaller ones, all of which are strewn with smooth
pebbles, are very clean, and are exceptionally quiet. Panormos beach is
an organized "blue flag" beach. You can find 6 or 7 restaurants, 2 small
shopping marts, and varied tourist facilities such as renting of cars or
boats; scheduled daily cruises; and tours or excursions all over the
island. The crystal-clear sea and the dense green vegetation make
Panormos one of the most important beaches in Skopelos Island for ideal
holidays. Buses run frequently to Skopelos town. |
